Description:
Recently got this from a co-worker, a Remington Bel-Air. From what I can find my best guess is 1962 for the release year. Made in Belgium with an all plastic shell. Gave it some love and cleaning and it seems to work great. It has a specialty ribbon spool, but the ribbon itself is standard size so I was able to wrap a new ribbon around the spools and start typing. Can't find a manual or a whole lot of information on this model, but it works well. The keyboard is definitely small, even for a portable.

A newbie when it comes to typewriters, but I've become a fast learner for cleaning and quick repairs. My current favorite is my Smith-Corona Electric Coronet and Super Silent.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Bel-Air on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Bel-Air By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
