Its label is simply Caravelle and it is a SCM 5A model NOT a 6 as the later 1960s Caravelle 10s are. A sterling, with a flat top. I like it a lot. Hopefully others will flesh out this Caravelle niche.

This is different from the Caravelle 10s listed. Its label is simply Caravelle and it is a SCM 5A model NOT a 6 as the later 1960s Caravelle 10s are. A sterling, with a flat top. I like it a lot. Hopefully others will flesh out this Caravelle niche.

A lover of the written word, I was bitten by the typewriter bug at the beginning of 2019 when I embarked on a Joyful Odyssey to track down a vintage Olympia SM 7/8/9, (I didn't know the model number at the time) that my mother had owned and which I had used to type my college applications in the late 1980's. I have acquired quite a number since, and have enjoyed learning about the history, mechanics, and true variety of these machines.
