Description:
Strange machine that spans the change from SM3 to the SM5, and has design cues from both models. From what I can tell, the colortip and the colortip S were training models but I can't find a key block like some other models have. Overall, I was very happy with this purchase, rare model, close by, low price! Possibly the best rubber I have seen on an Olympia. The platen and feed rollers are soft, the feet still have casting marks and are very grippy. Even the body washers are proper height. Cosmetically I can tell that this machine was used, but seems well cared for.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia Colortip on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia Colortip By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
