Description:
I got this Maritsa 11/Bundy from the Typewriter Works in Plovdiv, People's Republic of Bulgaria, from a frequent supplier of mine in West Philadelphia, PA in March of 2023. As a professor of Russian and East European Studies, I had some pretty strong expectations of what to expect from a typewriter from communist Bulgaria. But I was pleasantly surprised to find a very comfortable, snappy little typer with a whole lot of good looks, and an amazing case! The original ribbon spools--emblazoned with the factory logo--are pretty cheap plastic, and the ribbon-advance is similarly plastic, but so far it seems to have held up pretty well!
