Description:
Garage sale find. It types quite well and all functions work normally, though the on-feet needs a slight adjustment and the Magic Margin springs seem to be quite weak. The machine is quite solid and comfortable to use. I think this era of machines is probably the last of the truly "Royal" Royals. Other than cosmetic damage, the only real issue is that it's missing it's case.

I'm a newbie and amateur typewriter "collector" in Memphis, TN. I have a small collection I hope to expand in time.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Custom on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Custom By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
