Description:
Olympia SM9 De Luxe thrifted from Value Village for $20 CDN. This typewriter came with a black case that appears to be original as it refers to "typewriter" on a label inside. I was very excited to get this home as my other SM9 is wide carriage and pica, this is regular and the ruler went up to 92 so I assumed it would be elite. However it turned out to be Senatorial or "robot" typeface.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SM9 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SM9 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
