Description:
#95
A monster of a typewriter with a huge platten to match. Lots of extras I've never seen on a manual typewriter before... I'm impressed with the fact that by moving two levers, under the hood, I can remove/replace the entire carriage. (see photos)
Authors Ingeborg Bachmann, Harlan Ellison, Wallace Stegner and Philip K. Dick used this model typewriter.

"I was born in a crossfire hurricane"...
A professor in college gave me the gift and appreciation of the letter form.
Typewriters are just little "print shops" for me.
I have an MFA in 3D Digital Sculpture.
I no longer mold young minds, by teaching art to high school students, everyday is a safari now...
In my spare time I own and operate an equal opportunity rescue shelter for all makes and models of typewriters that have been abandoned in the bottoms of closets.
No matter how many typewriters I am fortunate to be able to collect, my collection will not be as nice as Herman's...
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SG3 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SG3 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
