Description:
Another great Olympia with cursive. Acquired in California. This is the most documented machine in my collection. We have the test papers (Proof) from the factory, the unpacking instructions and the original buyer's reciept. Super clean. A little dusting and new rubber feet and a new ribbon - it is like 1967 all over again. T122

I have always enjoyed tinkering with mechanical "things". For a number of years my wife wanted an IBM Selectric, The machine she used many years ago as a secretary. In 2020 we found one at an auction and bought it for $15. It took another $150 for the typewriter repairman to get it working. That turned out to be T001 in our collection. In the beginning we bought whatever we found. Now I am concentrating on the portables rather than the older office machines. The collection is getting large and it is time to start posting on TWDB.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SM8 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SM8 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
