Description:
It's the love/hate machine. Fortunately, for me at least, I love the 82 - possibly even more than the Lexikon - because its type action is surprisingly quiet when compared to other standards of the day.
If the French-Canadian keyboard and dealer sticker(s) weren't enough to tell me that this machine was originally sold in Montreal, the brass plate riveted to the backside of this beauty would have made it obvious. The Diaspron was once the property of Montreal Martin, a daily newspaper in Montreal that produced its final byline in 1978.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olivetti Diaspron 82 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olivetti Serial Number page and the Olivetti Diaspron 82 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
