1966 Montgomery Ward Signature 513 Serial # F6275319 1966 Montgomery Ward Signature 513 typewriter, Serial # F6275319 Daniel Deary's 1966 Montgomery Ward Signature 513 typewriter. 2023-10-05 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Daniel Deary: 1966 Montgomery Ward Signature 513 Serial # F6275319 A Brother JP-3 variant. Heavy Duty Portable with a host of features usually not on portables. Somewhat rare. This is a clear typewriter rescue as it was a mess cosmetically and it needed a lot of work on the escapement to get it to properly work. It now types well. It has a stiffer touch but as a hunt and peck typist, this does not bother me much. It has a paper injector, 5 line spacing settings, a tab brake and 1/2 space bar. 13 inch platen. Similar to model 510 but in addition has a paper bail and paper support. All this is pretty unique.

Retired. Have been a Photography geek for many years...old school film. Also have been an audiophile and have been collecting vinyl before it became fashionable. Accidently(?) began collecting typewriters in the early1980's...I had four by 2006. After I inherited my mothers Hermes 3000 in 2017 my interest really took off and now I have 28 typewriters in total. The majority of my collection are Smith Corona's largely because they are plentiful, easy to work on and are very good typers.
