Description:
The Speedwriter Cavalier is actually a Commodore, which itself is a Consul 224 that was assembled in Toronto, Canada.
It's a portly portable, and since it's metal through-and-through it's as heavy as a cinder block. Kind of looks like one too. Still, it's a decent typewriter for those who place practicality and function above all else.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Speedwriter Cavalier on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Speedwriter Serial Number page and the Speedwriter Cavalier By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
