1965 Royal Parade Serial # PR6274937 1965 Royal Parade typewriter, Serial # PR6274937 Jonathan Sprung's 1965 Royal Parade typewriter. 2023-02-04 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Jonathan Sprung: 1965 Royal Parade Serial # PR6274937 This is certainly a 'sturdy' machine. It is the Lada Niva of typewriters. I dare you to kill it. Double dog-dare you. Despite this, it's actually a pretty handy little machine. It is heavier than it looks, and types well.

Update: I have recently given this machine to a friend of my daughter's who is interested in writing plays and poetry. Thought it would be a great starter machine :D

I have been collecting typewriters all my life, starting with a 1980's Brother Charger 11 (which I no longer have, but have replaced with an identical machine). I have well over 60 typewriters now, with a few rare portables. Some are interesting or odd, but most of mine are common machines.

My wife and I have made a deal, that I can keep buying typewriters if she can keep buying shoes. Fair enough! *shrugs*
