Description:
I picked up this SM-9 off of Craigslist in the well-to-do Gladwyne suburb of Philadelphia, PA in October of 2023. The listing claimed "only types in all-caps," which made me think that it was double gothic typeface. NOPE! Modern Pica instead. Turns-out the line-lock was interfering with the shift mechanism, so literally any attempt to type lowercase letters would be blocked. That took some fixing, as well as cleaning off whatever wax/BBQ sauce/apple butter or whatever had been slathered all over the case (last pic).
