Description:
Exceptional smooth carriage. Exceptional maintenance friendly. Exceptional print quality.
Early version of the Adler/Triumph basket shifted portables. Later versions were known as Gabriele 10 and 25. The latter was higly rated, according to he 'Which Typewriter? 1973 British Consumers Report on Portable Typewriters'. The Gabriele 25 even scored higher than the SM9, for a slightly lower price.
The touch is medium heavy, and the when using the tabulator, the carriage goes gentle to the tab stop. Good build quality, except for the plastic body. The case lid is clumsy.

I live in The Netherlands.
Most common typewriter brands over here are Triumph/Adler, Olympia, Erika, Olivetti, Remington and Brother.
I collect and restore typewriters to learn about their design and to write with them.
