Description:
Update: Currently for sale on ebay!
Olympia Monica in a very good condition. I gained her for free together with the Triumph Gabriele 3 from a clearing out of a house in the next town.
She didn't work at all because she had an issue with blocking keys on the left side (1, Q, A etc.) but I found the source of defect and could easily make her type again.
Though the design is rather ordinary I like the spots of color in turquois, which make her look less dull. I tried to carve this out by manipulating the main photo a little bit. I am sure that is how the designer wanted her to look like ;-)

Actually working with computers in my professional life I take the old mechanics as a compensation. I prefer machines manufactured before WWII, but I don't despise beautiful and good working typewriters from the fifties and sixties like e.g. the Olympia Splendid.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia Monica on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia Monica By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
