This model needed some TLC when I bought it. Iit did not have a case, it is a bit battered and has some chipped paint, the frame is slightly bent probably due to being dropped and the escapement mechanism needed a thorough cleaning,

I've brought it back to full working order.

A later Olivetti Lettera 22. This model was released after the Lettera 32 and has similar keys to its younger brother. It does still features that other 22's like touch feel lever.

I still have the original metal ribbon spools. I just need to thread this ribbon onto them. I'm in not rush.

I like that the Lettera 22 has this lever to adjust the feel of the keys. I wish this feature was brought to the 32.

Interestingly, the carriage lock is only accessible by removing the cover. My other Olivetti 22 carriage locks extend outside the cover.
