The carrying case, with two flies under the strap. Doesn't have a way to secure the typewriter down inside (and you can't use it inside the case), just foam pads on the latch side of the case for under the machine and a pad at the back of the typwriter (which the machine would rest on when carried/sitting). Do not have the key for the latch.

The view without the ribbon cover. The frontplate and the carrying case have punchtape from a previous owner and I intend to remove it when I figure out how to get it off without scraping the plastic. Yes, definitely a Remington with those stupid axle-less ribbon spools.

Everything that came inside the case when I bought it, minus a photocopy from the dealer with coupons for maintenance of the products they sold (vacuums, typewriters, etc.) -- they offered a yearly cleaning on this for $18.75! (Speaking of cleaning, I went over the exterior with window cleaner and a tissue after this photo was taken.)

"The Care And Feeding Of Typewriters", a page found in both the How To Type book and the owner's manual.

Serial is located on the left behind the ribbon direction lever under the cover. Good thing I had the manual to tell me how to remove it, the ribbon cover fits pretty solidly.

Got my first typewriter at age 4, a Tom Thumb. Got my first real typewriter at age 15, a Smith-Corona DeVille. Have been collecting typewriters since 2010 when I found a 1945 Smith-Corona Silent at an estate sale. Current count is around 12, half of them are in storage .
