Description:
The Optima M12 is a typewriter that could be found in every office in Poland from the 1960s to the late 1990s. It was used in many office tasks. It's really powerful, fast, reliable and easy to service. It has features that portable typewriters don't have. For example, decimal tabs, undo deadlocked typefaces.
This is not a romantic typewriter. It was also not the first choice of authors of widely-read literature or poetry. However, the large office machines rewrote most of the books published in those years. And often in 3 or 4 copies at the same time.

Typewriters were always around me. Some have been with me all my life. Others I saved from being thrown in the trash when the computer age came.
I'm not creating a museum. My typewriters are used. Rarely but regularly. Therefore, the collection is not large, and each machine has a Polish typeface.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Optima M12 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Optima Serial Number page and the Optima M12 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
