Description:
#824
Always had my eye out for one of these "stepchildren"... Most feel these were budget machines, but aside from tab sets, and internal sound dampening, it seems to be every bit as good as any of the SM models...

"I was born in a crossfire hurricane"...
A professor in college gave me the gift and appreciation of the letter form.

I have an MFA in 3D Digital Sculpture.
I no longer mold young minds, by teaching art to high school students, everyday is a safari now...
In my spare time I own and operate an equal opportunity rescue shelter for all makes and models of typewriters that have been abandoned in the bottoms of closets.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SM5 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SM5 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
