Description:
This is just gorgeous. Superb. ALL of the superlatives.
This is a 1963 Beaucourt Script typewriter--note that this is the name of the model--it has 10 c.p.i. pica rather than an actual "script" typeface. The Beaucourt Script is essentially the French-made Japy Script, rebadged and rebranded for sale in Great Britain (hence the pound sign). So they're fairly scarce here in the US.
This one was picked up in a lot purchased from a fellow typewriter enthusiast in Wilmington, DE in September, 2024.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Beaucourt Script on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Beaucourt Serial Number page and the Beaucourt Script By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
