Description:
Long ago I recognized that I'm not good at fixing newer, electric typewriters. But the Royal HE always struck me from the very first time I saw one. It made me think of Gemini-era NASA. Only then did I find out that they're pretty darn rare, and next to impossible to find in working shape. But when one popped up in December 2020 in Palmyra, NJ--and claimed to be in working order--I jumped at it. It does work, and has totally overturned my perceptions of mid-century electrics.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal HE on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal HE By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
