Description:
One of my bucket list models is finally mine!! This cream white Olympia SM7 was purchased at a flea market. It was very dirty inside, having an ...unidentified sticky thing spread everywhere, but mechanically in great shape with everything working as it should. It was not an easy task trying to clean this machine, but I made it and now I can enjoy typing on it. Features a non standard Greek keyboard layout that does not have the extra upper case Latin letters (as the standard one does), something that makes this machine more special.

Writer and blogger from Athens, Greece. I own a small collection of typewriters, most of my machines are functional and I try to repair any with problems that keeps it from typing. For me, it is important for a typewriter not just to sit on a shelve for display, but to be able to type when I want to. On the links below you will find my blogs and social media profiles. Feel free to follow me and get in touch if you want. I am always happy to communicate :)
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SM7 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SM7 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
