Description:
Vintage Soviet manufactured typewriter. As I understand it; all typewriters in the USSR were registered with local law enforcement. Nothing could be typed without approval of the USSR authorities. 1920 to 1990 the authorities carefully monitored things to avoid any unauthorized "self-publishing" that might be objectionable to the Soviet authority.
Overall great condition, though the overall build quality is not top notch...Cool just the same...

I am an avid typewriter enthusiast with currently over one hundred (100) typewriters in my collection (and growing). I am a proud TWDB Patron. I have also collected vintage briefcases (mostly Hartmann) Movie Cameras (8mm & 16mm) and many Fountain Pens. I am the author of the novella 'Killer on the Canvas'. I am also a big Don Quixote fan. I make my home in Southern California.
My Typewriter manufacture dates currently range from 1883 to 1996.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Moskva 6 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Moskva Serial Number page and the Moskva 6 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
