Description:
Bought through Facebook Marketplace, this beautiful 1962 Adler Tippa with Greek typeface remained unused for more than 30 years, according to the seller.
It belonged to the seller's aunt, who used to work for a state bank in Greece - probably that is why the machine has a number glued on its side, but I am not sure about that awful sticker on the ribbon cover. Everything seems to work well, except from the back space button that does not respond every time. Also, the bell is not ringing when I reach the end of the line. I am sure I can fix those issues and also adjust the typebars to print as they should, after changing the ribbon as well. But first... a nice, deep cleaning. Generally, a very nice looking machine. It weights 4,5 Kg, with it's cover.
UPDATE - Sold, because of downsizing my collection.

Writer and blogger from Athens, Greece. I own a small collection of typewriters, most of my machines are functional and I try to repair any with problems that keeps it from typing. For me, it is important for a typewriter not just to sit on a shelve for display, but to be able to type when I want to. On the links below you will find my blogs and social media profiles. RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Adler Tippa on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Adler Serial Number page and the Adler Tippa By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
