Description:
Manufactured for only a season, at least branded as a Tower, this beautiful blue Tower Citation should put a spring in your step. Combining the back half of the Model 5 with the new Sears specific angular front half. Fully embracing "googie style" -- conveying motion - jets, airplanes, flying saucers, and boomerangs. The Citiation has it all.
Wide comfortable spacebar, cool red ball touch selector. Everything you've come to expect from a Smith Corona - improved.

A lover of the written word, I was bitten by the typewriter bug at the beginning of 2019 when I embarked on a Joyful Odyssey to track down a vintage Olympia SM 7/8/9, (I didn't know the model number at the time) that my mother had owned and which I had used to type my college applications in the late 1980's. I have acquired quite a number since, and have enjoyed learning about the history, mechanics, and true variety of these machines.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Tower Citation on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Tower Serial Number page and the Tower Citation By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
