Description:
I snagged this beauty for $5 at a local thrift store. It was buried under some old boxes. Whoever came before me had no idea how to inspect a manual typewriter. The keys were jammed and the ribbon was tied around them. A few minutes later, I hauled it up to the counter and ask for some paper to test it with. Worked perfectly! It has a bigger body and a heavier touch than the KMM, but it's still a great machine.

I am a professional historian and writer. I have been collecting typewriters since 2013, and use them for all of my work (novels, short stories, poetry, non-fiction, and personal letters). I have a passion for all things antique, but hold a special place for these tools. Some of my collection is up for sale or trade, so if you see something you want, let me know!

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal FP on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal FP By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
