Description:
Swiss-French QWERTZ keyboard.
2021-08: The machine is now super clean and complete with a new right-hand platen knob! I replaced the feet with new rubber washers and did a couple of adjustments to the "wings" and left ribbon spool flat spring. I added pictures of the cleaned machine as well as the cleaned case and added a typeface sample. More details in the blog post linked.
2019-06: This Baby works but is not cleaned yet. The body has some scuffs. It is missing the right-hand platen knob.

I started collecting my first pre-WW2 standard typewriters in 2017. Since then I have added a few machines to my collection, which now ranges from the 1890s to the 1980s. As of 2020, I have more big standard (desktop) typewriters than portables, and a few standard electrics.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hermes Baby on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hermes Serial Number page and the Hermes Baby By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
