Description:
This Remington Travel-Riter was manufactured in Holland at Remington’s Hertogenbosch factory. It is a compact, all-metal portable designed by Carl Sundberg, featuring a 42-key keyboard and basket shift. The machine has a classic mid-century design and a solid, substantial feel for a portable. It is a well-built Dutch Remington that represents the company’s European portable production of the era. Only required some platen work which was done excellently by J.J. Short. Given as a birthday gift.

I work in IT and enjoy slamming the keys that go clickity-clack from time to time.
I enjoy repairing, maintaining, and cleaning typewriters.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Travel-Riter on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Travel-Riter By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
