1960 Remington Quiet-Riter Eleven Serial # QR3845692 1960 Remington Quiet-Riter Eleven typewriter, Serial # QR3845692 LaDonna Qualtieri's 1960 Remington Quiet-Riter Eleven typewriter. 2024-11-02 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of LaDonna Qualtieri: 1960 Remington Quiet-Riter Eleven Serial # QR3845692 I’ve yet to identify the name of this vertical script typeface. The keys are smooth working and springy. The sturdy aluminum case is reliable, yet I still secure it with a yoga strap if it’s traveling. It did come undone from the base during shipping but the shipper planned for such shenanigans and it got here with just one minor mishap-a plastic tip to the carriage release lever. If you have an extra, help me out! The typeface looks a lot like Olivetti Oxford Script.

I have many pen pals and correspond via handwritten and typed letters. I have a (painful) sitting disability and type while standing- UPDATE! I can also type on an ultraportable I set up on my bed. Typing and collecting machines with different typefaces keeps me busy and happily distracted from the difficulties in life-fountain pens, too, and I can write legibly, in cursive, while laying down. Join me on Type Pals and register for the monthly postcard exchanges. The “Cat Mews” is a quarterly publication of the philatelic topical group Cats On Stamps Study Unit (COSSU), for which I am a column contributor. My cats are Wiffle Wizard and Urushi (Rushi) Blizzard, aka the Blizzard Sisters.
