Description:
Shown in 'as found' condition complete with broken parts taped to the ribbon cover. Types very nicely, something I've come to expect from most Zeta-made models. The manual simply describes it as a "portable typewriter with automatic margin stops", and it looks to predate the 1511 model. And because of the 'Zeta' branding and its palindrome serial number, I'm guessing it was manufactured during the early '50s, certainly prior to 1958.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Zeta Portable on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Zeta Serial Number page and the Zeta Portable By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
