Description:
EDIT: Sadly this machine has a broken starwheel, and getting at it is the most complicated process I have ever seen on an electric - its on a vertical shaft and you have to take the whole machine apart to get at it, assuming I could procure a part. This machine is now parts. I have found nothing about this model as yet, but it looks a lot like my scriptor and mechanically appears the same as my model 12 (or All-Electric). Newly arrived, needs a good cleaning to restore its looks and operability. UPDATE: As its starwheel is shot and impossible to get at without totally disassembling the machine... and I can't even figure out how to get the carriage off, something I have been able to do with every other machine I have fairly easily - this ones for the parts department.

New collector with a penchant for offbeat models/brands and, conversely, the mundane models many overlook, if I have a personal connection or just find them interesting. Finding that collecting typewriters is like eating potato chips, you can't have just one! Also restorer of mechanical calcs, Vintage audio, and vintage computers.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Underwood Documentor on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Underwood Serial Number page and the Underwood Documentor By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
