Description:
#412
Thrown in with the sale of two other machines... the carriage is frozen in place.
Update... Started taking this apart to treat it as a learning opportunity... carriage frozen, half the keys were disconnected from the type bars, and it was filthy. After spending the day with it, I'll be able to supply a type sample soon.

"I was born in a crossfire hurricane"...
A professor in college gave me the gift and appreciation of the letter form.

I have an MFA in 3D Digital Sculpture.
I no longer mold young minds, by teaching art to high school students, everyday is a safari now...
In my spare time I own and operate an equal opportunity rescue shelter for all makes and models of typewriters that have been abandoned in the bottoms of closets.
No matter how many typewriters I am fortunate to be able to collect, my collection will not be as nice as Herman's...
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Galaxie on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Galaxie By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
