Description:
This acquisition is the result of a drunken Ebay late night... Sent an offer they should have never agreed too but yet, they did! This little gem is a 1959 Scotland made Olivetti, with a French-Canadian keyboard (this is the only type of keyboard type I seem to score!?)
She's pretty but ain't perfect. Of course, one of the ribbon nut is gone which is much easier to find than the top right key pad; who cares about fraction but full keyboard is nice! A spring in the left margin stop is gone. And a shower is mandatory!
I'm still investigating about the serial number, it has the "S" prefix but it might have the "XS" prefix, I see something under the body and the paper table might have a slightly different color tone than the body... to be continued

Desperate to become a typewriter hunter. I own as many typewriters as I tried to create TWDB accounts
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olivetti Lettera 22 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olivetti Serial Number page and the Olivetti Lettera 22 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
