Description:
Den saknade länken! The missing link. In 1959, the Halda typewriter company of Svängsta, Sweden, became Facit. But although it has a Facit badge, Facit never made a Model P (“Privat”) like this. So it is essentially a Halda P, but with a Facit badge—which is actually too big to fit the space on the lid where the smaller Halda badge should go. And it’s serial number is far beyond the range of Halda’s manufacture.
So it’s both a Facit and a Halda. Or neither. So we'll call it a Facit P, and leave it at that. Found languishing online for many months in Doylestown, Pennsylvania in January 2021, just before a Nor'easter hit.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Facit P on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Facit Serial Number page and the Facit P By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
