Sighted at MTE, dated by documentation with machine. Purchased at Sears on Tenth St. in Soux Falls on Dec 12, 1958. Manual dated October 1958.
Holiday case, includes key and case tag as well as manual and receipt. One owner, low mileage. Apparently owned by one "Dinty Moore" according to the dymo label on the front shell. Parents with a weird sense of humor, or just someone who really likes canned stews? Just one of those little mysteries attached to any given typewriter. :D

I am a casual Typewriter Hunter residing in some liminal transitional spacetime between my lifetime in Arizona to the New World of PROBABLY Conneticut with a wife, two cats and about 50 typewriters. My main hunting ground is thrift stores, and I rarely pay more than $10 for a machine. My collection consists mainly of portables with cases, and they stay in the cases unless I am actively using it (usually more than one at a time). I do, however keep a handful of interesting Selectrics, including a Composer.
