Description:
Had this flown over from the United States, as these machines are pretty rare here in continental Europe.
When it arrived, the carriage was loose, the spools wouldn't turn, and a whole bunch of other things.
After a while, and alot of effort, I was able to get it working. I still have some issues with vertical alignment, but overall it's in working shape.
I know many people find these things a bit bland in design, but I love the appearance. It looks so typical American 50's.
Sold due to I lost interest in it. Great to look at, but not so great to type on, in my opinion

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Skyriter on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Skyriter By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
