1958 Smith Corona Skyriter Serial # 3Y 170848 1958 Smith Corona Skyriter typewriter, Serial # 3Y 170848 Plante and Doole-Fisher Typewriters's 1958 Smith Corona Skyriter typewriter. 2018-07-13 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Plante and Doole-Fisher Typewriters: 1958 Smith Corona Skyriter Serial # 3Y 170848 The Skyriter was getting long in the tooth by 1958, though it would soldier on and morph into the Corsair by the mid-60's. This is one of the last North American made models, and despite having been dropped at some point in life, it has retained the paper supports. It has also mysteriously had green function keys installed in place of the normal white ones. Coincidence?

Together they have established Venneburg Typewriters, a partnership that to date has seen over 400 typewriters since 2009. Here you will find the machines that are currently still in possession or that have come and gone since December 2017.

***As of July 2020, this collection now also represents pieces from the collection of Troy Krahn!
