Description:
#222
Great safari today... Another one for the top ten list. I have to find a term or name for machines in this kind of mint condition. Every time I find one like this, I think it's the last one... and then, another one appears, at a good price. The wooden, sculpted case is in the same shape. I was also offered two bran new ribbons in the box for 5 bucks. It's always a good sign when you find the brochure for operation.
Keys = Maroon/Burgundy
Update... I have found the name... "Mint chocolate chip" !

"I was born in a crossfire hurricane"...
A professor in college gave me the gift and appreciation of the letter form.
Typewriters are just little "print shops" for me.
I have an MFA in 3D Digital Sculpture.
I no longer mold young minds, by teaching art to high school students, everyday is a safari now...
In my spare time I own and operate an equal opportunity rescue shelter for all makes and models of typewriters that have been abandoned in the bottoms of closets.
No matter how many typewriters I am fortunate to be able to collect, my collection will not be as nice as Herman's...
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SM3 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SM3 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
