Description:
Is this scenario familiar to anyone?
After a cursory inspection, you decide to buy a typewriter because its outwardly horrific condition has convinced you that it would make an excellent parts machine. The rationale is that it will be used to rescue another model, one that cost you three times as much because it looked to be pristine, but currently doesn't work because it needs parts.
Then you spend a little time with the junker and discover that under all the dirt, and its malaise from mistreatment, that its an excellent machine which works flawlessly - almost anyway: it needs a new ribbon.
This SG1 had no right to work, it's easily the roughest of the seven I own in appearance, and yet it types like a charm. Go figure.
