Description:
I got this 1957 Smith Corona 88 from a retiring keychopper in Blue Bell, PA, in October 2021. Since it had plastic keytops, he apparently saw no value in chopping them off for jewelry making, so he threw it in the "free" pile at a garage sale. It cleaned up quite nicely!

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona 88 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona 88 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
