Description:
Built in February 1957, this machine was in really sad shape when I bought it from a local thrift store. It was shot through with dirt and grease, missing a foot, ribbon lifter not operating. I took all the metal covers off and submerged the entire exposed machine in a sink full of warm sudsy water, scrubbed it, sprayed it off with cold water and dried it with a space heater, the mechanism is clean as a whistle now. Put in a new ribbon, fixed the ribbon lifter...it types really well now and it's a great little primitive machine, and it also came with its original case which strangely enough was in very good shape.
