Description:
Got this from a Goodwill auction. Don't know if it's the pack job or the dirtiness or both, but the carriage is REALLY flaky. For the longest time, I thought the carriage was frozen, but a combination of hitting margin release and holding the transport latch, I was able to get it to move.
You can totally see how this is the predecessor of the Futura 800s I have by looking at everything.
But I like the Futura styling better. By a long shot.
One thing I do really like is how you flip up the paper table to get to the tab stops. I think that looks really neat.

I am a typewriter collector. I'm moving into a new phase; one where I am filling gaps and paying what's necessary to get what I want....
I know I take crappy photos. I just have an older iPhone and am impatient. When I get a real camera (or borrow one), I'll upload better ones.
The ironic thing is that I am a pretty good amateur photographer. My excuse is that I work in film almost exclusively....
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Aristocrat on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Aristocrat By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
