Description:
Acquired from a local seller just down the street from me, closest one so far. Types very nicely. Had a broken paper release lever, only had the lever, the retainer clip and the roller bearing were not present. Obtained a replacement part from a kind Facebook group member and installed it. Feed rollers too loose so adjusted them in under 5 minutes.
Adjusted slightly more anvil, adjusted upper case to current writing line guide and adjusted lower case to upper case.
Type sample is before adjustments. Forgot to make new sample before removing escapement for cleaning and adjustment and cleaning out the type bar universal bar area. There is a lot of eraser crumbs in there, someone made a lot of mistakes.
Acquired 11/29/2023

I started with 2 Monroe calculating machines then in January 2023 I used my Christmas money to buy a 1936 L.C. Smith and Corona, Corona Standard portable. Since then have acquired more typewriters. Also have 2 Engineers Transits (surveying instruments), a K+E Foresters staff compass, and 4 slide rules. Typewriters as a hobby has been more affordable than antique surveying instruments anre and they are easier to obtain.
