Description:
I found this little guy in a thrift store on a Saturday, but it was twice my normal budget for a typewriter purchase. Of course, I went back on Monday and bought it anyway. It's a lovely, solid machine, and it types just fine. I like it almost as much as my Skyriter...but I don't know if I'll ever love a typewriter more than that S-C.

I fell down the analog hobby rabbithole and have no intention of climbing out. As a child, I wrote my school research papers on the 1946 Smith-Corona Silent that my father used to get through law school. By the time I went to law school, new-fangled computers were all the rage. But I kept my dad's Smith-Corona. In the decades since, I've found a few other typewriters and use them to write fiction for fun and pose them with the film cameras to which I am hopelessly addicted.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Remington Quiet-Riter on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Remington Serial Number page and the Remington Quiet-Riter By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
