Description:
A gift from a local collector. Missing its cover, paper support and the platen rod screw that lets the left knob turn the platen. A 3, but no 3 on the back of the machine. I lightened the touch and it types fast. Not as crisp or precise as an SM-3, but a nice machine to use. The carriage return isn't smooth, and there's some roughness in the return I can diagnose. Hard platen but the feet keep the machine planted firmly. A really good machine for getting letters on the paper since it gets out of the way, but not a high end machine.
