Description:
This Skyriter came from a Minnesotan woman named Dorothy on June 21, 2018. Her typewriter was sold to me by her neighbor and Dorothy's son as she had passed away sometime prior to the sale. The first words I typed on a typewriter were on Dorothy's Skyriter which can be read below. To honor her, I sent those words to her neighbor and her son, and have named this machine after her.

A writer who gets drunk on words (and rum cake, from time to time) and got his glasses doing something smart: reading... in the dark. I am published in ETCetera issue number 124, Spring 2019, with my article, "Facebook's Typewriter Collectors" and run my own literary business, Wiggins' Words, where I typewrite poetry for people based on their subject and price. RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Skyriter on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Skyriter By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
