My latest find is this very early Olympia SF, so far the oldest in the database, probably the 66th ever built. The color scheme is very rare and the condition is surprisingly good, although it obviously needs overhauling. An interesting feature that I have not seen on later machines is the mat under the keyboard in the same color as the keys themselves.

Actually working with computers in my professional life I take the old mechanics as a compensation. I prefer machines manufactured before WWII, but I don't despise beautiful and good working typewriters from the fifties and sixties like e.g. the Olympia Splendid.
