Description:
Pica. Autumn 2020.
This typewriter belongs to a family friend. In late 2020, she asked if I would like to clean it up for her, which I was happy to do. She's the original owner of this machine; it was given to her as a high school present.
The Senior Companion was, by 1955, Royal's economy portable. You lose many of the creature comforts of the Quiet DeLuxe, but what remains is a very simple, practical machine.
Pictures are from 2020.

Been enjoying the hobby since 2015; finally getting around to sharing my collection digitally. I only keep the typewriters I use and enjoy the most, so check out my sightings to see all the machines that came and went.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Senior Companion on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Senior Companion By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
