I know from the seller that it was purchased by a French Officer based in Germany who had to write a report, and I enjoy thinking that it could have been related to the Cold War… Three of the rubber feet and some rubber washers inside the machine were in bad condition. I couldn’t find exactly what I needed to replace them, so I shaped new ones out of a piece of rubber cut with a set of leather punches. That will do until I can find something closer to the original rubber feet.

I bought in Paris this Olivetti Lettera 22 n° 309636 made in 1955 in Italy.
