Description:
Though not by any means my favorite machine, certainly it is one of the most beautiful. Solid and elegant, it is, whereas the Optima is mostly solid without elegance. (I do prefer using the Eastern German over the Western.) The Voss "chunks" along, whereas an Erika snaps. Still, I would not be without a green "smiley" in my collection.

Call me Papa. Some time ago, never mind how long precisely, I decided to buy a typewriter. I think it was a Royal, but as way led on to way, it got away from me. I got older.
Now, I am but an humble collector of archaic writing machines. Rather than indiscriminately gathering them hither and thither, I painstakingly choose the next one, and all are used for epistolary endeavors.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Voss S 24 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Voss Serial Number page and the Voss S 24 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
